Eight months of PAAS-4λ deployment successfully completed
24.8.2022
Eight months of unattended particle light absorption measurements at the Pallas Sammaltunturi station successfully completed.
So far the PAAS-4λ instrument has demonstrated excellent performance in terms of stability and reliability. This is an important step to prove the final technology readiness level in the target operational environment (TRL9).

First months of PAAS-4λ deployment successfully completed
22.2.2022
The first two months of particle light absorption measurements at the Pallas Sammaltunturi station demonstrate the very clean background air usually expected in such a sub-Arctic environment.

PAAS-4λ deployment in the sub-Arctic
3.1.2022
schnaiTEC is collecting pollution data at the Finnish Pallas Sammaltunturi station located 170 km north of the Arctic circle. The one year deployment serves to demonstrate the PAAS-4λ detection capabilities for long-range pollution transport into the pristine Arctic environment. Measurements are performed in collaboration with the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
